DESCRIPTION
Motos is a simple top-down arcade game, where the aim is to push
all the enemies off the edge of the platform.

CONTROLS:
Keyboard, Kempston
Up - Q
Down - A
Left - O
Right - P
Jump - M

INSTRUCTIONS
The object of the game is to clear all the screens of the
invading Space Nasties by manoeuvring your ship across the Solar
Base and "bumping off" (literally!) the edge those you're
unfortunate enough to encounter.

The Bad Guys take many forms and they're a pretty hostile bunch.
Some are however considerably harder to get rid of than others,
due to their greater mass and thus pushing power. However,
collecting the power-ups you come across will provide you with
the greater power you need.

These are of two types of power-up; Jump Parts and Power Parts
(marked "J" and "P", respectively). Power Parts increase your
engine power, to enable you to combat more massive opponents,
while Jump Parts enable you to fly across gaps in the Solar Base.

When you land, the tile you are on will crack and if you jump on
it again, the tile will disintegrate completely - not very
healthy for you. However, the parts do not come into effect
straight away. At the start of each level, the left side of the
screen shows how many of each part you have. You are shown the
nasties that dominate the level, and it is up to you to decide
how many points to activate, using the left, right, up and down
keys. So there is an element of strategy in the game when
deciding how many power parts and jump parts to select for the
current level, whether to use them now or save them for a more
difficult level - if you make it.

You can also get more points by pushing some of the bonuses off
the edge of the platform.

SCORES RECEIVED
Quite a good review in SU, especially since it was a budget game.

GENERAL FACTS
Motos was the first arcade conversion to be done by Mastertronic,
and consequently the first arcade conversion to be sold at a
budget price.

NOTES
If you are playing this on an emulator, then increasing the speed
of the game to about 150% or 200% can make the game a lot more
fun and frenetic. However, your time does run out exceedingly
quickly (meaning the platforms starts to dissappear), so if
anybody knows a poke to stop the time then that would be great.
