Space 1999 The Invasion
GAC Illustrated Text Adventure

Luís Peres made SPACE 1999 back in 1990, and thankfully kept the cassette (unlike most of the games he made back then unfortunately). Many years later, André Leão of Planeta Sinclair fame helped to recover what was a highly weather-worn cassette. The recovery was a painstaking process, from the manual smoothing of the tape reel itself, to the endless bugfixing and testing.
The efforts of Andre and Luis to bring this game back from the dead are quite incredible, and it's an honour to have it as part of Woot 2023.
