THE GAME The game is controlled by a mouse pointer which you can move round the screen with a joystick or the following keys: O - LEFT P - RIGHT Q - UP A - DOWN SPACE - FIRE The pointer can be placed over various menus which will become highlighted. Pressing fire will then select the option desired. Here is an example of how it works: The first menu you will come across will be the select team menu. There are next and last options which will let you view the otehr teams in all the divisions. To go to the next menu you go to the team you want and press FIRE. You will then be able to input the skill level which the other teams possess and also type in your own name or the name of a manager. Then you will be presented with the main options menu. From this menu you may view all the Divisions, look at your Managerial status, examine and sell your players, aquire a loan from the Bank, change any of the set-ups or even load and save a game. Once you have selected the continue option you will be shown your first match of the season and the positions of both teams. The next menu is the menu which lets you place your men in their strategic positions. You will see a place for the Goalie and four possible areas for attack, Midfield and Defence. You must place your men in the best positions you think will give them the best advantage. When you have done this select the finish option, you will be shown how many people are in their rightful place. For example if you put a Goalie in attack then he will play very badly. Match highlights follow so you can see how well you have placed your team. The highlights will show any good shots or displays that the match has to offer. Other menus include showing all the results in all the divisions, seeing how much money you have gained and lost, buying players, viewing injured players, changing ball tactics and even buying extra things to make the ground more spectacular.
