Kong is an unusual release for the Commodore 64, based on the portable Donkey Kong Jr.

The chief coder of the Spanish band Sputnik World under the posh alias Rulas International (modestly so) and his guest musician Narcisound from the neighboring Onslaught have presented to the public their conversion of the portable electronic Donkey Kong Jr., calling simply Kong for short. And not just any clone, but an improved version of Panorama-version (1983) of this classic game, originally released on Game & Watch, known to us by our clone of "Well, wait a minute! Here, feel the difference, as they say:

The graphics suffered in the transfer, unfortunately. The protagonist, Tiny Kong, looks kind of angry and resentful rather than a worried little guy. The castle well on his daddy's shackles bears very little resemblance to the well. And Comrade Mario (who here we have a "villain" avenging Big Kong for kidnapping Pauline) has a level number hung in front of his nose, whereas in the original he could whistle some notes there.
