A Sony employee makes a Star Wars game for the Commodore 64

Chris Stanley, a former Psygnosis studio collaborator now at Sony, has been working on a wildly beautiful and technical shooter The Empire Strikes Back for the Commodore 64 since at least September this year. Yes, this game was already played on home PCs (including C64), but it was a 3D first-person shooter. On Atari 2600 and Intellivision it was a horizontal scrolling shooter with a totally different gameplay.

Chris is remaking this very game, only the C64-version will look much prettier than both of its predecessors. In fact, the only available teaser already shows it (thanks to Runa Spaans for the graphics). Alas, we still don't know the release date, but we will definitely keep an eye on the project.
