Bat'n'Ball is a game that brings something new to the Arkanoid genre.

In 1986, Taito released Arkanoid on arcade machines. You probably know all about it already, but just in case, let us remind you that the players were asked to control one platform and hit a ball. That, in turn, flew to the opposite side of the screen, where it smashed blocks. This uncomplicated plot and was based on the gameplay. In honor of this game then named an entire genre, although the idea was borrowed from the arcade Breakout, developed and released by Atari in 1976, ten years before. However, "Arkanoid" very successfully expanded the basic concept, so it became an example for numerous imitators.

On the other hand, nothing much has changed in the concept itself since those shaggy days. It's hard to improve on perfection. But that doesn't mean that attempts aren't being made. Here, independent developer Richard Langford has released his interpretation of the classic gameplay, Bat'n'Ball.

The author has mixed in the project everything he could think of. There is a variety of different bonuses, and a sudden change of conditions, and blocks that come alive when you hit the ball (which in fact - disguised aliens), and battles with bosses. For such an abundance is not a sin and assign a symbolic price, but financial gratitude - a purely voluntary matter. The creator distributes his "arkanoid" completely free, you can pick it up from here.

Самым оригинальным арканоидом для меня всегда был BreakQuest.

Но и этот вполне неплохо выглядит. Надо будет попробовать.
