In 1982, Atari released the arcade flying game Gravitar, in which players explored various planets. Gravity was essential in the game - you had to take it into account when shooting enemies. A few years later Jeremy Smith developed Thrust, a largely similar gameplay game. Unlike its predecessor, available only on arcade machines and the Atari 2600, Thrust left a more impressive mark on history: it was ported to a dozen different platforms.
It was Thrust that served as inspiration for the developer known as Dr. TerrorZ in creating the flying game Leilei Relay for the C64. In the game you have to control a small spaceship which is pulled down by heartless gravity. At the same time you have to collect barrels of fuel and avoid collisions with the walls of the maze. In addition to multiple levels and a good soundtrack, there are realistic physics with motion that takes into account inertia.
You can download Leilei Relay from official page or directly from "Perfect Pixel".
