The Czech developer nicknamed Star Raider has posted a publicly available demo version of its dungeon-playing dungeon-player Vaults of Nhyrmeth. The game is designed for the Atari 8-bit family. The list of features, in addition to the first-person view, has a fantasy story, solidly consisting of clichés, an inventory of items with statistics, the ability to save the progress and download it at any time, and of course, a variety of sounds.
The demo currently features one level with several types of enemies, including bosses. At the same time, players need to keep track of their character's hunger level and feed him in time, remembering to save food to have enough. There is also a dungeon search for keys to locked doors. The author admits that the optimization and control are far from perfect, but such flaws are quite forgivable for the demo version. By the way, originally Star Raider released the black and white version of the game, but then he listened to the advice and tried to paint it a little. It turned out pretty good.
You can download the Vaults of Nhyrmeth demo from the game's forum thread or directly from Perfect Pixel - here's the black and white version, and here's the color version.
