Just under a year has passed since the announcement of Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX, a modern remake of the classic Sega Master System platformer. The game, originally a purely fan project, was quickly picked up by publisher Merge Games, which released physical copies of Streets of Rage 4. And now we finally have a release date - apparently development is almost complete.
The game will be released on June 24, 2021 on PC (on Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Recall that Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX boasts not only new colorful graphics (with the ability to switch to retro mode at any time), richer animation and improved gameplay, but also new levels in addition to all the original. On the occasion of this announcement, Merge Games has released a whole new trailer:
