Top-Hole Golf source code for Commodore 64 has been posted online

Golf has been called "the sport of millionaires." In terms of elitism this type of exercise is second only to buying soccer clubs in full. But to join this wonderful pastime, you do not need to be born in a dynasty of hereditary capitalists, just run a sports simulator. A simulator like Top-Hole Golf for C64.

Developer Matthew Clark has posted the source code of his project online. Clark is still working on the simulator, but anyone can both play it (disc images are also available) and try to compile the code - if you're skilful enough.

The game itself looks quite complete - graphics, gameplay, sound effects are in place. The only thing missing is the background music, but there's a chance that's not a miscalculation, but a deliberate design decision. Up to four people can play Top-Hole Golf, and the options are rich in customization (including such relevant ones as gender, skin color and even clothing). There are two courses and two types of play (with 9 or 18 holes), as well as 3 levels of difficulty, affecting wind strength and uneven ground. Take into account the type of soil, by the way, it is necessary when choosing a club - this feature is also provided.

You can download the game from page on Gitlab or directly from "Perfect Pixel".
