Misifu Remeow, a remake of Alley Cat on ZX Spectrum with improved graphics, has been released

Just under a year has passed since the release of Misifu la Gatita, a port of the classic ZX Spectrum game Alley Cat, and its developer Jordi has not been sitting idly by. No, all this time he was working on a version with improved graphics, which he finally released, calling it Misifu Remeow.

There are quite a few differences from the old version:

  • improved graphics, worked on by the artist Jarlaxe;
  • Two versions - with full ZX Spectrum color scheme and with old-school CGA mode;
  • improved collision calculation;
  • more optimized code;
  • scoring system;
  • all levels are completely redesigned.

Otherwise, it's the same "Back alley cat" - you play as a furry vagabond who fell in love with a cat and now runs to her on a date, overcoming all kinds of obstacles and avoiding meeting with other cats, dogs, spiders and other enemies.

You can download the game from official page or from Perfect Pixel: here's the version with ZX Spectrum colors, and here's the CGA palette. However, there is an even better version - on the Virtual TR-DOS site you can download the compilation with Misifu la Gatita and Misifu Remeow (both versions). The release is by Slider and Shadow Maker, many thanks to them. The endless life option is also there, by the way.

Ah, yes, and in the end - will someone make a version of Alley Cat with gorgeous graphics by Evgeny Rogulin (Misifu uses only his artworks)? Seriously, it's not even funny anymore.
