The website Bytemaniacos has launched another contest for the best game written in Basics for ZX Spectrum. It's called BASIC 2022 and accepts only new games, never before published and not submitted to another contest, working on standard brand-name Spectrum - from legendary 48-kilobytes machine with rubber keyboard (or 16-kilobytes, they still exist) to ZX Spectrum +3.
You have to send the games in TAP or TZX format (disks versions are not accepted), and their package must include source code and description. Another important condition - as the contest is organized by Spanish site, the game should be understandable for Spanish speakers. So all the quests, RPGs and other games with a lot of text will automatically fly past people who don't know this language very well.
Submissions should be sent to radastan@outlook.com until February 28, 2022. Like in the past, the judges will choose one winner in each of the two categories - Pure Basic and Compiled Basic (without any assembly language procedures). Each of the winners will get a ZXUno case computer, and Spain delivery will be free, but you'll have to pay extra for shipping to other countries.
You can read more details about the rules on official contest page (only in Spanish though). So, if you want to brush up your BASIC programming skills, welcome to Concurso BASIC 2022!
Only authorized users can leave comments.
